...Sure, we'll take the bait. {All GN's in unison:} "So, Unk, what do you think of the L6's?" ...Handshakes and Smiles to all...even you, Unk. -Aaron S. bait? pal, when i throw a hangin' curve like that you're supposed to knock it out of the park! the L6s has the same implied symmetry as the 'Paul. but even that doesn't help it. the thing just doesn't work aesthetically. it's as though they started with a round form, but the snowman has started to melt, and it has become "squatty". long story short, it just don't work. how kind of you to extend handshakes and smiles to all, "even me" .:lol:. unk

Great look: Jimi playing that white Strat at Woodstock. I have a new DVD of his ENTIRE set and all you can do is sit and watch with your mouth open. It's not the size or color but how you use it (did that sound original?). That said, I hate white guitars: a walnut SG, no gold anything. Strats seem to look better in solid or transparent colors instead of the bursts.
Otherwise: the trailer's not that bad but that volume control on the bottom is YOOGLY!

[glow=red,2,300]ohhh.....[/glow]
Well, I played a Les Paul for all of my youth and beyond. A heavy, heavy woman!!! Stuck in traditional classical ideas of aesthetics, dressed in pearl inlay and bound edges she's a beauty. But, she'll break your back on a gig, she'll twist your hand to tune half the strings, and speaks both even and thick in those predictable tones. Resistant to any modifications with her thick carved top and appearance that defies you to try and change her.
Now, dressed as the black beauty that she is, entombed in her flight case under the bed, she is assailed by the squeeks and squarks of the new women.
Never ending varieties of tones ring out in the bedroom now. A woman...curves in all the right places, when held she fairly wraps herself around you, one arm outstretched toward the shoulder. Her strings respond from slightly taut to slack, harmonics pop, clean chords ring with an acoustic presence while single lines cut through any BS distortion you'd seek to apply to her. She's her own lady but responds to any adjustments...reach down with a little finger and touch that control and shift a setting or turn her up or cool her down....no there is none of the, hang on reach down adjust that knob, no the other one, now reach up and select one of my 3 predictable positions...no she knows what she wants and she invites you to do it, and shouts "dont stop" while you are at it.
Oh yeah...she's all woman...and so are her sisters...even her mother knew how to reveal secrets in between positions, and teach her daughters too. Yes, and they are open to experiments, you can get right inside and surprise even her...and if she's tired, she can be shimied up and her action restored.
Your traditional symetrical shapes, they sure look pretty, hanging on the wall...but a strat's real beauty is a beauty in motion, a beauty that responds and a beauty that gives as good as she gets....
No, the strat and her sisters have a beauty that can not be denied...[glow=blue,2,300]once you've gone strat, you'll never go back!!!![/glow] [glow=red,2,300]4real[/glow]

...[glow=blue,2,300]once you've gone strat, you'll never go back!!!![/glow]... nice sound-byte, but... i go back and forth daily! i guess i'm just a guitar two-timer. as far as the rest of that "bedroom imagery" in your text, well that's just perverse. .:LMAO:.

OMG! What have I started? PLEASE FOLKS, don't encourage him! i must admit though, when some one asks me how they can get their amp to break-up sooner, i can just show them a picture of the fracturecaster. and tell them they just do it at the guitar instead! unk
