Hello all. I ran into a little trouble last night when I closed up my guitar body, plugged in, and no sound at all came out. I tried to wire the "Strat Lover's Strat" to my rig, but was unsuccessful. I have all my negative pup wires grounded to the star ground. And where SW2 connects to B- and output jack-, I just ran this to the star ground also. I wasn’t really sure what to do with the wiring when a switch connected to a negative pup wire. Since I have them all grounded.
Does anyone have a real life drawing of this using star grounding?

I'm currently working on the same switch (putting a pickup in series). It's strange that you get no sound at all, but
*Negative leads of both neck and mid pickup should go to the middle terminal of the series switch. Together. This is hard to tell from the schematic if you're not used to reading them -- like myself.
*Negative lead of the neck pickup means (if your doing the Strat Lovers Mod) that you should connect what comes of the phase switch as negative (the - of the pickup when your in phase, the + of the pickup when you out of phase.
In parallel, all the negative leads from the pickups go through the middle terminal to ground like they should. In series, both negative leads are connected to the positive lead of the bridge pickup and whatever of the two are selected on the five way are put in series with the bridge pickup.
This still doesn't explain why you get no sound at all. You should start checking at the jack, but you would have certainly heard something if you had reversed + and -.
+ jack goes to middle terminal of volume pot , then from the high end of the volume pot to the middle terminals of the switch.
maybe this gets you started....
Did you connect the common terminals on the 5 way switch?
I checked the wiring and took the negative leads off of star ground and attached them to the switches as you said. But now my problem is that I cant hear anything unless i turn my amp up to full power. What could cause this?
