Hello,
I had a person rewire my guitar a few sometime ago and and it has not worked right since even though they ment well. The yamaha site is quite useless so I was wondering if anyone had a scematic or picture so I can rewire it correct. It is a model with a split coil humbucker at the bridge and 2 single coils at the middle & neck. It is a good guitar and plays nice but I would rather not get an electric kiss next time I play & sing. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, my BC Rich had exactly the same config of pickups. Try this site guitarelectronics.zoovy.com/product/WDUHSS5L1101. Now, this may not be exactly what you need, esp. if your guitar has a minitoggle switch to split the coils of the humbucker (like mine does), but it'll give you an idea of what goes where. I think the main difference would only be the wiring of the coil-tap switch - the link I've posted shows it done using a 5-way lever to "auto-tap" the coil depending on the lever position, your guitar may have that or maybe a minitoggle switch or maybe a push/pull volume or tone knob - the prinicple is the same. The site has loads of other wiring diagrams, and they're very useful. I made a drawing of the original wiring before I did ANYTHING so I could refer back to it later if something went wrong etc. I hope this helps! I also have been here asking for help!! Derek.
