Positions I would like to keep include (with - being par. and + being series)
NSC-BSC NHB-MSC NSC-MSC BHB+ NHB+
Other than that, I am interested in investigating tones that y'all have found to be useful, or just darn cool! This leaves about 5 positions open.

I only play an SSS strat. But, for what it's worth, my favourite non-standard sounds are (all with single coils) (+ = series; - = parallel; as in your post):
(N + B) : very handy slightly "scooped" heavy rock sound, great for a big metal riff; (M + B) : Middly and punchy for classic lead sounds (this is the combo Brian May uses "80% of the time" on the Red Special); (N - B) : jangly, with an almost acoustic feel to it (I note it's already on your "must haves").
Others I have found useful in the past include:
(N+M) out of phase with a bit of high cut: has a strange flutey sound to it, nice for a classical organ feel but sounds wierd if you do string bends; ((N + B) -M) : much like (N + M) but more complex and "richer"; (N+(M-capacitor)): a thicker blues sound than N alone but not as middly as a two pups in series.
That's my (rather conventional) tuppenny.
