I have a vintage Yamaha G-100 112 combo. For those unfamiliar, it was Yammy's response to the JC120 and is just as good of a pedal platform.
Anyway, I took it to a guy who was going to replace the damaged pots. He then contacted me and said that he strongly recommends that we replace all the caps. It is multiple decades old now, makes sense.
I got a list of the caps I need, but am not sure what brand I should get or where I should go to order these. I have been through the massive maze on Mouser.com a few times for other stuff and would rather not spend the rest of this month going through all their options. Any suggestions?
thank you

I have a matching pair of these- they are superb MOSfet amps. Mine are the second of the three iterations of this amp that Yamaha brought to market, the ones with chrome plated curved fitted corner caps. I know it's probably an unwelcome opinion but I would leave well alone and address problems if they do arise in time. Unless you're going to rely upon it as a professional ... It's kind of money for old rope this re-capping stuff, IMO of course.
One thing worth noting, I have one of the channel lamps not working on one of the amps, I took a look inside and decided to re-flow the solder connections but all it did was fizz and fizz. I concluded that there may be some doping sprayed over the components and PCB(s). If yours is the same then re-capping might turn into a labour of love.

never been inside of one of these (i watched the bass head on reverb for awhile but never had a reason to pull the trigger even though it was cheap), but here's some general advice biggest thing you'll have to keep in mind is the dimensions (use mm here): space between the leads and cap diameter of existing caps (you can go below the diameter but try to keep close to the lead spacing so that the new caps fit easily) you want to choose caps with at least capacitance and voltage ratings of what you have in there, although depending on what's in there it might be considerably cheaper to go up a bit to a more common value be mindful of axial vs radial lead

Thank you for the response. I will make sure that they are all radial. I think I going with Panasonic caps. I read nothing but good things, they are priced right and they look almost identical to the stock ones to boot. Thank you

oh another thing i learned from experience: the big caps it's easy to count but order a couple extra of the little ones because i always seem to miss one or two when counting and hate making two mouser orders....
