I had someone ask for the proper way to wire up a Strat with a 6-way rotary switch. I remembered there was a Phostenix 5-way Strat drawing, so it was an easy modification to add one more position. The bulk attribution goes to Phostenix. Purple is my contribution. The diagram for the 5-way rotary is here: Phostenix 5-way rotary switching and is close to the bottom of the page The only complication was the fact that the poles on the switch they bought did not line up with the drawing. Actually this is like the situation of the type-1 and type-2 DPDT on-on-on switch where different suppliers follow different switch layouts to get the same result.... and a multimeter is always a good place to sort things out. Therefore in the end this is a cautionary tale of knowing your switches, as well as knowing correct wiring, so I post both the 'Standard' as well as the seemingly more common variant for the schematic, which is what they needed (inset upper right of drawing. Note: If this has all been posted before.... we can amend my post to what would be useful (switch logic maybe)
