I'm loving my set of the standard Neo Microcoils pickups but the non RWRP design might be holding me back because of the noise, and since I'm testing a series wiring the noise is even worse in the BxM with distortion. It could be because of my unshielded testing setup but I want less noise for worst case scenario, greedy I know.
Is it possible to disassemble the bobbin to flip the magnet polarity? I haven't tried myself since I'm scared of butchering it and I live pretty far away to wait for a new set. In another forum where they open it up, I saw there some kind of metal bobbin stacked with the magnet and not sure if the whole thing is glued down or detachable.
Should I just convert to HSS and call it a day? Or has anyone tried and find the MC in series noise negligible? Phostenix 's demo is pretty quiet but there might be noise gates, plus he also thought it was kinda noisy for his environment.

One of the few Wilde MC users here. I can't say what is glued or not, but there is a single screw on the bottom. It might allow the bottom piece to come off so the thicker of the two bars that is the magnet can be flipped. Wish I could be more helpful. Maybe Shanon at Wilde can give you an answer.

I have a set of the alnico models, and I was able to take the cover off them without great difficulty. The coil is small and protected; it's not too daunting.

Sure, but the poles would have to be flipped or remagnetized to reverse the polarity. The Nd-powered ones are very different. The cover comes off, no problem. It's a matter of whether the Nd bar is glued in. I doubt it could be remagnetized in place, but someone else might know better. Maybe a stronger Nd magnet could do it?
