Well not EVERY guitar has to be amplified but this one is designed to accept the Graphtech Ghost and preamp system. Just drill through the bridge plate to plumb through the 6 saddle piezo cables to the preamp which is easy to install inside the generous cavity and which also has plenty of space for the 9v battery. The top is thin enough to drill for pots. My tools, templates and experience is mainly with electrics, so I borrowed from that playbook to create the perimeter of the body and did shaping with a router. Add to that a top of your favorite material, a back and a neck and you have the makings of an acoustic Strat (which is more-or-less an Acoustasonic type but homebuilt and w/o the proprietary Fishman emulation electronics). The 4 main 'wood' elements A view of the soundboard brace scalloping I chose Generously sized rear cavity Creating a 4x2 headstock using a 6 inline neck Finished headstock, with a 'step' to add ornamental 'bling' to the top Earlier version of the same concept made previously showing the full assembly (thinner body, 6 inline headstock) Original rougher prototype with Graphtech Ghost electronics mounted (different cavity but same concept) Piezo cable plumbing (a similar idea would be easily used on the new improved design and does not require the second cavity and cover shown here) The complex multiple possibilities of magnetic and piezo pickups to the following planform distilled down using some Q&A with tech support at Graphtech (bottom image)

Nice work! The headstock mod is especially clever.
