Hi everybody,
I am new in this forum and I’d like to know if somebody can help me with any idea of how to connect a humbucker and two single coil pickups with a 3-way switch. I’ve been looking on the internet for diagrams but all I could find was with a 5-way switch. So if anyone can help me with some ideas I’d really appreciate.

newguitar,
Is a lever switch (as on a Strat/Tele) what you had in mind, or are you asking about an LP-style toggle?

yes it is a lever switch such as on a strat, the pickups I'm trying to connect are a SH-PG1 on the bridge and HS-3 pickups in the neck and middle positions.

hi Newguitar, welcome to GuitarNuts2,if you have a 3-way Fender style switch, you do have a few options, but none of them are stellar. you could: - connect your 3 pickups like an ancient Strat. one position for each pickup -- one pickup at a time.
- connect 2 of your pickups to the 3-way -- A, B, or neither. and hard-wire the 3rd one always on.
- connect 2 of the pickups to the 3-way, and connect the 3rd to an on-off switch.
but i don't think i'd do any of those. i think you would be much better off, if you replaced the 3-way with a 5-way. even the stock Fender 5-way will give a few decent combos. or you could use a Superswitch and have a little more flexibility in your choices. unk
