Someone from here is telling my buddy that the pot bodies either vol or tone should not be grounded because it causes a ground loop On gibson style pickups I been grounding the pots for years ?

I think that as long as you have only one path to ground, (ie the ground lug on your output jack) you will not have any ground loops at all. I like to have every single ground coming together directly in a single point, such as the back of the volume pot. Then from there, straight to the output ground. No loops!
