Well i always have a lot of crazy wiring ideas... So i think i need to learn how switches work instead of annoying members of certain message boards for wiring requests ;D If someone could run me through the superswitch (and the normal strat 5 way) that would be awesome. Hopefully i can repay the debt sometime in the future by making wiring diagrams for others

I do believe ChrisK has posted something like this...I'm just not sure where, and I'm having a bugger of a time finding it right now. Perhaps someone else can find it... Without getting into the details, a superswitch is really just 4 SP5T (single pole, five throw) switches, so in english, that means there's one "common" lug (lug = hunk of metal) that gets connected to one of 5 other lugs. without a pic, it's probably not clear, but maybe I'll find ChrisK's diagram in my wanderings...

I think this will clear it up. I also suggest reading other articles on StewMac, cos those helped me a lot when I started to doodle around with guitars...

If someone could run me through the superswitch (and the normal strat 5 way) that would be awesome. If you can wire a SuperSwitch, you don't need to know how to wire a normal strat switch. In fact, I can wire a SuperSwitch in a multitude of ways, and I still don't know how to wire a basic strat switch.

gunther, Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. There are times when simplicity is enough, and times when it's not. For those "not" times, we have the Superswitch. But if you don't need one, then you're $25 richer - that's what they go for, in some places. (But careful shopping might find them cheaper, I dunno.)

DarK, No doubt about it, this is a good find, and a good resource. I'm sure UnklMickey will add it to his Resources List in the Reference Files forum.
+1 for you! ;D
