One common mod is the series/ parallel switch. Since i don't really use my 2 and 4 positions, can anyone provide a diagram that has the series configuration only. That way my 2 and 4 positions can provide some usefullness. Thanks.

Did you check the Schematics forum at all?
and if you're the guy from UG, like I said there, you WILL need to buy a switch. And maybe even a couple. Check out the Brian May Trilogy schem in that forum.

........... and if you're the guy from UG, like I said there, you WILL need to buy a switch. And maybe even a couple. No, not necessarily so. It's entirely possible to rig up a series connection on positions 2 and/or 4 with a regular SuperSwitch, available from many locations. It comes as standard equipment on many models of guitar (not just Fender), and retro-fits anywhere you find a normal 3-way or 5-way switch. frozensheep, azrael is correct to ask, have you looked in the Schematics section of this forum? Specifically, look here to see how one of our members has instituted series wiring with just a 5-way switch. That should get you started down the path towards making your own circuit. But don't hesitate to ask for help, should you get stuck. HTH sumgai

frozensheepPart of my website is about guitar rewiring. Anyway, if you go to this page: www.1728.com/guitar.htmand scroll down almost half-way, you'll see a schematic for wiring 3 single coils in series using 3 SPST switches. This gives you 7 tone selections: 1) Neck only 2) Middle only 3) Bridge only 4) Neck and middle 5) Middle and bridge 6) Neck and bridge 7) All three Yes, it will change the appearance of your guitar but it is a very easy circuit to wire. The only disadvantage is that you won't get that distinctive middle and bridge in parallel "Sultans of Swing" type of sound that really defines a Stratocaster.

On UG, the idea of a super-switch was given, and he said he didn't want to buy a switch - to me, meaning that he had a standard 5-way switch.
