This may seem like a stupid question but I need to know which wire on the Texas special strat pickup is the positive wire..the white or the black. I have been playing guitar for 30 years but I must confess I know very little about the electronics . I'd appreciate any help I can get in this matter. Thanks.

wylde, Hi, and welcome to the NutzHouse! ;D Your first stop should be Pickup Color CodesSince the descriptive term "Texas" has been co-opted by several manufacturers, you'll have to look at the charts for your particular brand. If you don't find what you need therein, try the link found in Post #3 of that thread. HTH sumgai

wyldman, It may have been obvious from sumgai's post, but the color codes listed as black and white, don't cover the RW/RP middle pick up whose postive lead is yellow. GB

Black wires got to ground, White is hot and blue dot on back of pup is neck, red dot is bridge and the other is of course middle.
This is for Fender Texas Specials. I'm looking at wiring diagram in pup case as I type. Hope this helps.
