never underestimate a cheap or nasty brand. most of the GN members agrees that a properly treated & tweaked cheapies could overkill any top-of-the-line Fenders, Gibsons, PRSs, Ibanezes or whatevers boutique guitars.. both in the finish and tone department. if you want to change the color, you should start by removing the neck, sand off all current finishes, and re-finish it. check this; this site is really great. take your time to explore thru its sections about finishing an axe, and decide what you'll do afterwards. they even had a section about "making your own logo" ! www.projectguitar.com/tut/tutorial5.htmgood luck, buddy! (and welcome aboard). feel free to ask anyone if you're confused.
