depends on your hands. i have a guitar with (i think) c shape and one witz the d-shape. c shape is much more comfortable for me (see powerchords and pain topic).

yep, we have pretty much the same ideas about guitars, except that you prefer floyd rose and i prefer wilkinson

The best profile I've seen thus far is the Parker Fly profile, as exemplified on either the NiteFly or P-38 (my vote for best beginner guitar . . . a shame it was taken off the market).
I tried to emulate that profile on my Utah neck, and came up with something close that works fairly well.

I prefer the fatback, a 1" deep U profile 'cuz I gots big front paws.
