Does anyone have any useful tips for removing the old nut from a neck preferably without destroying the neck ;D or will I just lay in with the hammer and chisel Bobble

Bobble My favorite tool is a Vise-Grip that instead of jaws has two flat paddles as the gripper. You gently tighten the V-Grips then in turn gently rock the nut back and forth until the glue bond snaps the easily remove it. This works on most nuts secured with super glue, or wood glue. Someone here once promoted epoxy, because he re-routed the nut groove when he wanted to replace the nut. In that instance the V-Grips might be challenged. Careful with the chisel idea. The first time I tried removing a nut by manhandling it, a signifcant chunk of rosewood was removed. First and last time I strong-armed a neck. RW
