I really want to get a little more out of my '57 Reissue Strat bridge position, but I don't want to go to a humbucker. I've been contemplating this for a while actually, and posted about it before.
I have a HSS US deluxe strat as well, and I want to keep my '57 a little more 'stratty', but the bridge pickup is very thin and tinny.
I was thinking maybe a texas special might be the way to go, just give it a little more meat, without going over the top. It's important I keep that 2nd position quack too.
Has anybody else got a bridge texas special? What do ya reckon?

Thanks, but I'm not so flash at following those. I don't want to add any swtches, and I'm not sure that 2 pickups in series is the way to go. I have that on my Amercan deluxe (neck and middle) and it doesn't seem to give me much. Stiil sound like 2 pickups to me.
I really just want a slightly meatier pickup than the one I've got.

Yepper!...Im my opinion its got a nice snarl to it without it being too harsh. It cleans up nicely when you back off the volume.

Right, so that tells me what you've got, but it doesn'ttell me what you think of them.
