I haven't played for almost two weeks. I received a slice on my left ring finger across "the zone" when a paper cutter (roller type) blade fell off it's track. I'm just able to play today. I nursed it with anti-biotic salve and kept it covered until yesterday.....made the last week and a half feel like a year. It did take longer to heal, because I work with my hands. Does anyone have some better healing methodology they've had success with?

Well....it was a pretty deep slice, probably could have used a stitch in hindsight, but it is O.K. to play with now. I've had enough Superglue on my hands over the years to ever think of putting it in a cut that deep.....though I suppose that a combo, liquid band-aid with a coating of SG over it might have done the trick...... ......hmmmm .....it maybe time to call the patent office

Dan, For some esoteric reason, cyanoacrylate is sterile - it has no agents that will react adversely with living organisms. Still, you don't want to insert it deeply into a wound, it might seal off blood vessels. I've seen where hospitals and doctors now use superglue to suture smaller wounds - they don't even do anything inside, they just pinch it tight, smear some goop on top, and tell you to re-apply as needed. (May be every few hours, if you're busy and exercise that body part often. At rest, it should last over-night.) sumgai

Tyler, And you don't notice any burning sensation at the same time? The blister is caused by the heat given off from the reaction of the adhesive with its catalyst, oxygen. Deposited on your skin in a small area, you may or may not notice anything wrong, beyond the obvious (d'oh! ). I can smell it, as well as feel it, if I get the glue anywhere else beside the pads of my fingers (on particularly clumsy days). I'd say you're probably more sensitive than most, so yeah, stay away from it if you can help it. Or almost as good, use those cheap nitrile gloves they sell at Costco, that'll keep the goop off your skin, yet let you work with all the skill you posess. sumgai

I read that superglue was actually invented/discovered in the early sixties when scientists were looking for a fast acting skin glue. They passed it by 'cos it seemed to stick to everthing quickly......Duuhhhh....... I actually used stuff like that for my split lips in the winter in London in the 60s.
Of course, it was
