In the process of getting bitten by the guitar building bug, I decided to start a company and sell guitars I made (very low volume, one a month or less) probably on Ebay. This really is just so that I can continue on with this hobby of building guitars without going broke over time, and/or having dozens of guitars to store. I actually came up with my own logo and stuff, and I have a website that I'm putting together etc ...
So during this process, I was able to get OEM pricing from the companies in the subject line. Other parts manufacturers refused. These were obliging and for the most part the only reason why they were selected, although I am partial to many of DiMarzio's pickups, especially the Norton, Air Norton and Virtual Vintage series ... but I digress.
Because a) the members of this board have been helpful and b) you are all a bunch of guitar geeks like me, the offer stands that if anyone is looking for parts from one of these companies (to re-state, AllParts, WDMusic, DiMarzio and Gator cases) let me know and the next time I place an order, I can get them at prices reduced from retail. I can't really post a price list, but for the most part, I can get things 20-30% below the lowest retail cost you could find. For the most part. Some things more like 50, others closer to 10 - it just depends. I can't promise speedy delivery as I will have to wait until I am able to place my next order but I won't ask for it to be paid for until it's ready to ship. Just let me know if you want anything and I'll let you know approximately what it will cost. Thanks.
P.S. These will all be new items, not used.

J, Thanks for the offer, and good luck on your new venture! ;D ~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~ Folks, While I'm thinking about it, I think I speak for the majority here when I ask that you conduct all such business with jkemmery via PM. Asking if he can get such-and-such, and for how much, that's between the two of you, and the rest of us won't get much enjoyment from having to click into The Hock Shop to see what's new, only to find that it was a private business transaction. But for things more general in nature, like suggesting another OEM for J to try, or some such - by all means, post it here. Thanks! ;D sumgai

Thanks, I appreciate you all the well-wishes I can get.
As I may not be on here to check the messages, if someone wants to contact me, you can send an email to sales@kemmerycustomshop.com. Just put something like "guitarnuts2 parts" in the subject line.

(Following my own advice.........) jake, Here's one you might try...... I don't know if he has any kind of minimum order policy, but his OEM pricing is pretty fair. His retail prices are bit high, in my book, but anything you charge after you buy his product is up to you, right? The Point Tremolo is a conceptual advance on the design of the standard Strat vibrato tailpiece. (Although, to be unfair, this guy almost never uses the word 'vibrato' on his website, it's nearly universally called a 'tremolo'. ) In essence, it simply moved the fulcrum point from the front edge to under the saddles themselves, at about the string breakover point. More details can be found at Point Tremolo Products. That's not his main page, that goes directly to the product description. At the bottom of that page there is a menu, clicking on the Sales/Purchasing page takes you to the price list. I'm interested, if I can get a better deal than the 'retail customer' category, if you get my drift. You may be able to install and sell these things competively, depending on a bunch of factors, I don't know. But I'd be willing to be your guinea pig! ;D sumgai

No, it's properly called a tremo'Leo. His "Point" design seems to move the fulcrum under the saddle, reducing the secondary lever length resulting in about 25% more frequency change (gee, there's a clue) for the same movement on a tremo'Leo. This also results in a greatly reduced bridge height variation as compared to the frequency modulating traditional tremo'Leo. I remain somewhat unconvinced (I have not vetted their patents/design as to mechanical effect) of the design completely eliminating any fulcrum shifting (the bane of the vintage 6 screw vibrato). (I find it interesting that Fender calls their mechanical pitch changing bridge thingy(s) a tremolo, but calls the Bigsby mechanical pitch changing bridge thingy a vibrato. Of course, Fender has electronic amplitude changing amp circuit thingy(s) that they call VibroWhatevers. Amplitude Modulation (AM, level) is Tremolo. Frequency Modulation (FM, pitch) is Vibrato. If you want vibrato on your guitar, operate that there bridge lever thingy (you know, the Vammy bar). If you want tremolo on your guitar, rapidly twiddle your (volume) knob. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibrato"Confusingly, vibrato is sometimes referred to as tremolo, notably in the context of a tremolo arm of an electric guitar, which produces variations of pitch although true tremolo is a periodic fluctuation in the amplitude (rather than the frequency) of a sound. Conversely, the so-called vibrato unit built in to many guitar amplifiers produces what is known as tremolo in all other contexts. See vibrato unit for a detailed discussion of this terminology reversal." To avoid any further confusion, I'm going with the Tremo'Leo and the Vibrolo. These will be used inter-wrongly since most bits are insignificant today anyway.

Chris, 'Sfunny....... I thought it was the least bits that were insignificant, not the most. Aren't the least bits the ones that are usually dropped for lack of need? I mean, how much more insignificant can you get, eh? On another note....... I realized I was about to hi-jack this thread with a lot more verbiage concerning tailpieces (unk, don't you dare reverse that phrase!), but I came to my senses in time. See my follow-up post in......... in........... uh oh, I feel a new sub-Forum coming on! ;D Check under Gear Concerns. sumgai
