... that you are being told about a gig of your favourite singer/musician/rockgroup so late that the gig is already sold out when you want to buy a ticket.
happened to me when david gilmour was here, nearly happened to me now - just found out that loreena mckennitt will be 100 km away in a month. and of course there were only a couple of seats left - of some thousands.
still happy, that i even got one.
well, tell me, fellow guitarnuts, has such "luck" happened to someone of you, too?

we wondered why, when we tried to get good seats for a concert, IMMEDIATELY when they went on sale, nothing good was available.
then we learned a little known secret...
here in the US anyway, there are some companies that pre-sell the primo seats before a concert is even publicized.
the seats are EXPENSIVE.
if those companies don't sell enough seats, the date is "cancelled". (the general public never even knows there was concert planned.)
of course the few who agreed to buy seats are not charged for the concert that never was.
maybe there's something similar happening in Europe?

hard to say. the david gilmour concert was sold out almost immediately. i have bought the tickets for the machine half a year before the gig date and got pretty much the best seats (5th row center).

whats worse is being told you cant go see a band three days before the tickets even come out. Thats right, my parents already told me that I cant see Rush in SEPTEMBER! No reason either. Luckily my friend always buys two extra tickets, so I just may (50/50 chance) see Rush.
