Deleted padouk chambered Strat copy body, padouk/ebony neck 1 7/8" nut 1" boat profile. Stainless steel frets. No finish (required, ever). Wilkinson vibrato, Schaller locking tuners (black and gold sets mixed for contrast). DiMarzio Virtual Vintage pickups, Heavy Blues in bridge, DP401 VV 2.1 in middle, Blues in neck (pro calibrated setup). Mike Richardson wiring scheme (original) with PP (neck phase) pot for neck tone (directly across the neck PU), and PP (phase) pot for bridge (again, directly across the bridge PU). This is the wiring scheme: Mike Richardson wiring with phase
Again, no finish required!

I'm not so much a Wilkinson lover, as not a Wilkinson hater.
In reality, I do virtually all bending manually and never put the arm into the vibrato. That's why I like big frets, I can do micro-step "wobbling" on a note by note (or handful of cents) basis (one does have to fret lightly). Often just pressing on the tail piece is enough chord-wise.
It's hard to find a "candy store" body that isn't routed for "your choice of tremolo" (which it ain't, it's vibrato). A Wilkinson seems to be the best default.
The biggest problem that I have is remembering whether it's Wilkinson (vibrato) or Wilkerson (razors/swords).

I'm happy to see that someone has used my diagram to such good effect. Nice axe!

That's a great body for a natural look, it looks darker than the kit pics of the bod (I think) you posted a while back (or is it a different body?) Is there nothing on it, no stain, no rubbed finish, no polish,....came just like that?
I ended up using miniwax hand rubbed poly on the tele, comes only in satin, it gives it protection while keeping the look of unfinished (but polished) wood, needed to use a brand new cotton T-shirt to apply it (was the only thing that applied it the way I wanted). Some day I'll even get off my butt to take some pics and post them.....

No, it's the same body. Padouk starts out being very orange. It turns brown(er) over time. I'd left the body in the sun for about a year (turning it of course). My office had an 8 foot by 8 foot window.
The neck was left in the sun for 2 years, but it was much darker red when new (radically different trees).
Nope, none, nada. Sun aging is.
