I've posted in a few threads about this project, and I've finally got going. So here's a progress update.... click the pics to make 'em big....First I stripped everything off the guitar, till we had just the body... Next we made the holes for the screws on the new bridge, and for stringing through the body... Next the hole was routed to fit the Pearly Gates... Pearly fitted... Next, drilled the required holes in the new pick-guard, and dremmelled it to fit with the new pick-up surround / bridge ensemble... Then the hole for the controles need elongated..... Then, fabbed a new control plate out of scratchplate material, and mounted the controls on it, and slapped it on the geetar..... And finally, the (almost) finished article..... Now all I need to do is wire the bee-atch up, and slap some strings on her...... Probably be the weekend at least before I do it, because I'm still short an on/on/on switch!

It is alive! I cannot beleive it! It sounds ACE!!!!! Still not got the on on on switch so i've only got the coil split for now. A few earthing issues when all pickups are off but I think I'll be able to sus them out! Big thanks to all who helped! Especially, in no particular order, unklmickey, sumgai, and CheshireCat. I would have been left with fire wood if it weren't for you guys!

Ya know, if'n ya made that control plate just a leetle bit longer, you'd have a built-in gitar stand! ;D ;D ;D

Beef- I dig it. I'm thinking of doing something similar, but putting the HB in the neck position (don't want to messs with the bridge). A couple questions: 1. Satisfied w the pearly gates? 2. Any advice on Router use?
