Has anyone seen those little cameras that you can put into the soundhole of your acoustic? You can check out every nook & cranny. You woudnt believe some of the sloppy workmanship on some of these so called " high end " guitars. I guess they figure if you cant see it or take it apart for inspection theyll let it pass. One fella bought a vintage guitar that apparently Django Reinhardt breifly played. He wouldnt say how much he had payed, but im sure it was in the 5 figure range. When they looked inside with the wee camera, the braces didnt fit into the holes that were made to house them. Some joints had too much glue, others not enough. It looked a total mess, yet when you looked inside with the naked eye everything was peaches & toast! ( I dont like cream ) These little flaws were deep in the far corners of the guitar. Way in the back where you couldnt see them. I guess back in the 1920's or so, they never dreamed anyone would think of looking.

The sound wasnt too bad actually. It sounded like that " Belleville" sound that Reinhardt used to get. Not my cup of tea, but it sounded okay.
