From the KVR forums: www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=189964"Topic: My wife is cheating on me. PostPosted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 1:11 am by jupiter8 I think my wife is cheating on me. I am a working musician and, as you would expect, travel a lot. I have been noticing strange things happening when I get home. Her mobile phone rings and she steps outside to answer it or she says, "I'll call you back later". When I ask her who called she gets evasive. Sometimes she goes out with friends but comes home late, getting dropped off around the corner and walking the rest of the way. I once picked up the extension while she was on the phone and she got very angry. A buddy of mine plays guitar in a band. He told me that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. He wanted to borrow my guitar amp. That's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening. I said "Sure, you can use my amp but I want to hide behind it at the gig and see if she comes into the venue and who she comes in with". He agreed. Saturday night came and I slipped behind my vintage Marshall JMP MKII 50W half stack to get a good view. I could feel the heat coming off the back of the amp. It was at that moment, crouching down behind the amp, that I noticed that one of the tubes was not glowing as bright as the other 3. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to take it to a technician? Thanks Very Concerned"

At first I thought this was going to be about how we cheat on our wives when we buy stuff...
You know, I buy stuff on the Internet, then, a few days later, I get home early so I can get the UPS package off the doorstep before she sees it...

That's why we invented package tracking on the interweb. And "Customer Service Centers" where things can be kept in waiting until opportune. ******************************************** "Two guys were discussing popular family trends on sex, marriage, and values. Stu said, 'I didn't sleep with my wife before we got married, did you? Leroy replied, 'I'm not sure, what was her maiden name?'" ********************************************* This was one of the better responses to the "cheating post". "Most people these days don't know much about tubes. Have "him" help you remove the dim tube. With the power on. With just his fingers. Then you'll have his fingerprints. Not a copy, the originals.................."

ALL WAYS REMEMBER "IT'S EASIER TO ASK FORGIVENESS THAN TO ASK FOR PERMISSION". When she say's to me "can't you take a joke?" I reply "I married ya din't I". don't worry about your tubes, they'll be ok..........

True story (really!)... The wife and I got home from shopping (we entered the back door), and hear a knock at the front door... The wife goes to the door, and before opening it, announces that it's the guy-from-across-the-street. Next thing I know, the wife calls me to the door. Seems the guy-from-across-the-street had a UPS package mis-delivered to his house; it was actually addressed to me! Busted!!! Now the package was from WebStrings, and obviously only contained about 12 packs of strings, so she wasn't really upset... even she realizes that strings are the least of her worries. The interesting part is, it turns out that guy-from-across-the-street also plays guitar! We get to talking and find we share many of the same musical interests, etc. So, not only did I get new strings without getting into hot water, but me and guy-from-across-the-street can jam and compare gear (and conspire to buy more gear with each other's help!) Cool!!!

And then your wife and guy-from-across-the-street's wife can chat and compare incoming gear (and then conspire to buy more (fe)mall gear with each other's help!) Cool!!! ;D There really is balance in life.
