Although im not a drummer, and can prove it... ie. I finished grade school... - I dont live with my parents. etc. I can smack out a tune or two on the old skins. I just wanted you guys to see Neil Pearts drum kit he used on Rush's R30 tour. 23 k gold, and its value is over $30,000. Its done in black with red accents, and has all of the rush albums icons embedded into the shells. My word, If I were wealthy id have this in my music room...along with Jessica Alba of course! ;D I may be flogged for chatting about drums in a guitar forum, but I feel you guys know me well enough to let me off with a stern warning! ;D

deep,
I don't think I'd need any drums in the same room, if J.A. were present. Hell's Bells, I wouldn't need anything else, hehehehe.

good grief! a right nightmare for the roadies, that. can you imagine what a PITA setting that thing up would be? kinda cluttery look with all those stands jammed so close together, too.
i can't imagine all that gold and black looks quite right with the washing machines and refrigerators in the backline either. XD

Unk... Theres a video on Youtube showing the drum tech setting up this monstrosity. This picture only shows half of the drum kit. In concert the other side has his synth drums.

Of all the drummers I've ever played with (not for 20 years now), the best was my H.S. Jazz band drummer. It was like he was in my head when we performed. He was a combination of Gene Krupa and Eli Konikoff . Contrary to most of the other drummers I played with, he was very smart (Honor Student), and became an engineer after H.S. Drumming was something that just came simply and naturally to him. You could set your metronome to him, but he was a good listener as well, If we had to slightly change tempo due to a brass solo gone wrong, he could do it with such finesse that most of the audience couldn't tell. He sat in for a few weeks when our wedding band drummer had sprained his ankle....If it wasn't for our regular drummer providing the practice space, we would have had a new drummer. I haven't seen him in decades, last I heard (10 years ago) he was playing with a small jazz group in the Northern suburbs of "The City". Every time I think of getting some guys together to play, he's the first on my list.
