So, I foolishly wanted to buy another body from Deleted.
I called to order a Showcase Thinline body (PT742) last Friday. I was informed that their computers were down.
I asked if my order could still be taken. I was ASSURED that it could be.
Before proceeding with the order, I asked the salesman to ENSURE that the body was still in stock and available by physically walking over to it and taking it in hand.
He wandered off and then ASSURED me that it was indeed still available and commented on how nice it looked.
I said, “Gee, how can I make sure (ENSURE) that it isn’t sold when the computers come back on line.”
He said, “I’ll put a tag on it to make sure (ASSURE).”
Then, AND ONLY THEN, did I proceed with my order, comprised primarily of this body and parts specifically for it.
At the end of the order process I asked again if I was indeed going to get this body. He again ASSURED me that I would.
Now, since I did everything that I could to ENSURE that this body was still available (and was ASSURED that I HAD ORDERED this body), I struggle to understand what his email stating “I went to pull the body you wanted and it had been sold before I got to it” can possibly mean two days later.
It wasn’t a body that I wanted, it was a body that I HAD ORDERED (order taken, assurances given).
And, one gets really placated by “Sorry. Here is the link for our finished Thinline’s :”. Yeah, I guess if I was stupid enough to believe the salesman's WORD, I also likely can’t find the link to obediently select another body in the fond hope that things would go my way this time for sure.
This behavior is INEXCUSABLE. Either the salesman LIED about verifying that the body was still available, or neglected to GET OFF OF HIS butt and go tag it. Either way, his dragging a$$ and morbid interpersonal skills have really pd me off.
I have long been a customer of, and a proponent for Warmoth products online, on various boards, in various roles, under various nome de plume.
All business is personal. They have wasted my time and pd away any currency that they had with me.
It is most obvious that I have erred in my past and ongoing recommendation of them. Fortunately, those that were posted can be edited (and now have been).
You and they may rest ASSURED that I will redouble my efforts to forever ENSURE that I always and accurately represent my experiences, both in response to query as well as precipitously.
This isn't the first time that this has happened to me in dealing with them, but it is indeed the last.
Furthermore, I will not do business with any entity known to me to use them as a supplier.
If you are working on a project and need my help, it would be wise not to mention if anything made by them, or procured from them is involved.
Guitar Mill are generaly the same price asDeleted. They will do an oil finish on a body for $45. They'll even do this on bodies that they didn't make.
