I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ignorant... Harbaugh? Do tell.

Thanks for asking. I'm curious about that, too.
I have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with Surf Guitar music, but that's just a guess.

Well, that didn't take too long......... ;D ;D Chris might remember, though. In the late 50's and early 60's, I subscribed to Popular Electronics. There was a comedy page, with a cartoon called "Hobnobbing with Harbaugh". The author's name was...... Dave Harbaugh. The point being, he was one funny son-of-a-gun, and he always couched his humor in relation to the magazine's theme, hobbyist electronics. But hobnobbing was also an expression of the day. To do such was to "knock around with" or in today's parlance "to hang with" other people of like mind and proclivities. Thus, when we visit a Coffee Shop, we are 'haning out', or hobnobbing with our buddies, most or all of whom are absolute GuitarNutz! ;D Other non-directly related topics are lumped in under that umbrella, I didn't have the creativity bones cranked up far enough that day to devise yet another category. Enjoy! sumgai

deep, No, I'm not into self-gratification, thank you very much. Besides, it looks rather odd when I'm out in public. Whenever I need a real date, I just call up one of my girlfriends. Well, only the ones the wife doesn't know about! ;D sumgai

It never works out, (you can trust me on this).
Sung to the tune for "Home on the Range"
(Poul Anderson I believe.)
"Clone, clone of my own, With the "Y" chromosome changed to an "X". And when we're alone, me and my clone, Will think of nothing but ........................."

I hadn't really wandered the beyond the "search recent posts" link I have bookmarked since the re-org. How did I miss this gem? My shop teacher in H.S. had many old P.E.'s laying around the shop from years past....even so, still it took some jarring to remember that rarebit. If anyone would like to see some of Dave Harbaugh's stuff, you can find a bit of it here.

ux,
Thanks for that link to some of Dave's work. I thought about casting around for a link myself, but then I got busy with something else, and sorta dropped the ball.
I'm sure most of his humor is dated by now, but at the time he was very funny.
