sumgai, Thank you for everything! That sure doesn't seem like enough ... yet it's all I got right now ... I understand your decision, and we'll miss your ugly bag around this place. I am confident that newey will serve us well - an excellent choice, I think. Well, that's really about it, I guess. Vaya con Dios, mi amigo. DD P.S. For those of you who are not aware, sumgai has let us all know that he is being re-called to that far-distant land known as "Marital Bliss" guitarnuts2.proboards45.com/index.cgi?board=forum&action=display&thread=3507Anyone who wishes to, please "sign the note" so to speak.

Permit me to be the second to say the same thing. Thanks, Sumgai, for all the help and info. Newey, congratulations on the title and let us become better acquainted. ;D

The Real-Meal-Deal here....... Bean, I don't recall now, but I think I might have left you hanging for a drawing, no? And I know that I've left andywelsh out on a limb........ Sorry to one and all who may have been waiting on me, but now that the fat's been smoked to a crisp, I can only apologize for my lack of attention to things like this. ~!~!~!~ andywelsh; You actually have a good diagram for what you intend, although your 'redrawn' MR version is a bit hazy, it appears to me that it will work. I would have merely formalized it with an AUTOcad drawing, nothing needs changing, so far as I could see. Good luck with your project, I'm sure you'll like it. I did very nearly the same thing, except for the all-3 in series, I took B*N in series, with the option for InPhase and OoP. But I like it! ~!~!~!~ DD, you're too kind! ;D The former Nut formerly known as sumgai

Take car sumgai, I understand how these things can take over portions of your life that may require more attention. Good luck, and good times.

Let me also say "thanks, Sumgai", although that hardly approaches it as DD notes.
I have a high standard to live up to. And, frankly, I'll probably need some help from the senior members to keep things on track.
We will all miss you. Please, however, forward any new smilies ;D ;D

sumgai - So I guess this would be as good a time as any .......... As you may have noticed , GN2 was ( is ) my only experience with forums , message boards & the like ; in fact it was my first experience with online communication of any kind . At first I found the whole username thing to be a curiosity . So when I first saw your handle I thought it was some kind of an Asian name & I actually struggled with the pronunciation for a bit before I " got it " . ;D ( No B.S. ;D ) I just couldn't understand why a Japanese man living at the Vatican would have to wear a bag over his head . ;D I've learned a little lot since then , thanks in part to you . You'll be missed around here . Take care . newey , I guess you're gonna make me invent my own explanation as to what the heck your moniker means . ;D I think you're a fine choice for the job & good luck . -lpf3

I also wish to say thanks, Sumgai. I totally understand and for similar reasons I have not been very active on GN2 for a while. You will definitely be missed. Best wishes to you, and as we cops say: Stay safe!

Thanks for everything.

Sumgai,
Thanks for your good stewardship.
We may all be here because we're nuts about our guitars, but a wife has to be taken much more seriously, so I understand where you are coming from (well, going to!). My best wishes go with you.
See you around.

Damn, I'm away for one minute, and everything goes to hell! What did I miss? What's this about Sumgui leaving us? Surely Hell has frozen over... Sum - I'll never forget the brass pick (heck, I use it almost exclusively). I sure hope we can keep in touch, from time to time. See ya, big guy!

Alas poor Baghead, we knew ye well. Enjoy the vacation, for we all know you'll be back.
And the Seattle Tacoma Guitar show will be here in Kent WA on Sunday, Sept. 21. Hope to see you there Sumgai.

When I first found this board I had been away from basses and guitars for many years. I'd posted questions on several boards before finding this one. Sumgai, and all of the core group (and you know who you are) impressed and humbled me. Forced me to learn...and remember...and especially think.
The captain sets the tone of the ship. (pun intended) As Captain Sumgai, you set a wonderful tone.
There's a lot to be said for "marital bliss". After 27 years of personal experience I can't repeat most of it...but I understand.
As I can't think of anything more appropriate, I'd like to offer an old toast:
To Lying, Cheating, Stealing and Drinking! When you lie, lie to save a friend When you cheat, cheat death When you steal, steal a young girls heart And when you drink, drink with me, my friend
Good night Sumgai, and Good Luck
