I think the answer might be here. It's unfinished and weird. Once in a while you come to a page that says "Finish this off". What's there, though, is pretty lucid explanations on topics running the gamut of audio including primers on the math, physics, and electronics aspects. I found it searching for schematics for compressor/gate circuits. Didn't have that, but I've been randomly reading my way through various parts. Most of this stuff is covered in a wiki or elsewhere, but here you'll find it all in one place. The text is conversational and not overly technical. One thing it's done for me already is to de-mystify the use of imaginary numbers in some of these equations that get thrown around. I was taught in school how to deal with i (or j, if you prefer), but never quite understood why. I'm still not sure I can explain it, but I think I've got it for myself. Thought it might be nice to share with those aboard who haven't been working with electronics since Franklin. Okay, sumgai's gone, I guess we should say since Edison.
