Christmas gift review time. This year after the Mrs. and I agreed NOT to have any big ticket items, but she snuck one in on me: A Soundseat. After using it for a couple weeks, I have to say say the Soundseat is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat on while playing. After years of sitting on amp cabinets, folding chairs, the edges of beds, kitchen chairs, and bar stools (all of which give you neck aches and numb legs), it is refreshing to sit and play on something so comfortable. I usually stand and play when I'm playing stuff I know, I do stand to work on new stuff, but usually end up sitting, but it's not long 'til my middle age neck and back are aching. She got me this model: but mine has casters. It has a full back, but you barely need it because the stool portion is so comfortable. In addition, it forces you into correct posture while playing, which helps the whole operation as well. I was tempted to call and order the foot ring, but I decided against that after a week with it... since this sits low, you really don't need it. If you like to elevate one foot, one of the legs is fine (it has a non slip surface that even stocking feet stay put on). It's a extremely nice addition to your "guitar nook".

Holy crap!
So, you're playing an $120 guitar while sitting on a $300 (+shipping) chair?

I know I wouldn't have popped for it myself....but now that I have it, you'd have to fight me to give it up. and....the '51 isn't my ONLY guitar. ....not to mention my Bass and Tube/vintage gear that is not pictured....
