Grab Axe – 30 years ago, I had one of the very first Dean “Z” models (explorer body style). One day at a gig, some bone-head ran across the stage, tripped over my cord, and pulled the guitar off its stand and cracked the headstock in half. I’ve since learned that this is not at all an uncommon occurrence, especially with people who lean their guitars up against their amplifiers. Mick Lindens Gig Gear has responded with a very simple and innovative device called the Grab Axe. This simple strap secures the guitar in vertical position using a strap that attaches to your amp’s handle. It works great, is super simple, and is a heck of a lot easier to carry around than a guitar stand.

I was all over the MarkBass site a while back and never saw this. An equally good idea. Since you're sponsored can you get us free promo samples? Happy Trails Cynical One

If you have cabs (big ones, presumably) with the recessed handles, there is a hanger available as well: Amp Handle Guitar HangerThis keeps it up out of the beer residue. Also, with Tele and LP style guitars with side output jacks, standing it on the heel can put torque on the phono plug and/or its connection if you leave it plugged in, particularly with the longer style plugs.

Cyn, I'd love to. I can't... but I'd love to. I count myself lucky to get even a discount! I am probably a bit too precious about my instruments to consider leaving them un-cased anywhere, largley for those reasons, beer in particular. I always leave the hard cases leant up against the wall by the stage. Guitar comes out before the first song, goes back after the last. We had better consider bringing that seller up under the Trade Descriptions Act though- while the item is sold as an 'Amp Handle Guitar Hanger', the picture quite clearly shows it holding... A BASS! I can't believe the cheek of some people.

Well, it is a bass guitar. Just thinking like a defense attorney (err, barrister . . .) here.
And congrats, Andy- as D2o points out, you've reached 500 posts and are now deified.

Since I use a lot of pickups, I usually just stick them on the side of the nearest fridge or file cabinet.
