new to computer, dont know where to address this or how or to who or if i can get back. i am looking for a schematic for a switch sold by stars guitars in s.frisco in the mid seventies it was for 2 humbucker guitar, and had 6 positions. a rotary switch. it is basically like an l5s ,l6s, not sure , gibson ,but is not quite wired the same. would appreciate anyones help. thanx sk54

If you know what you want the switch to do, we'all can help with using a different switch.
If you have the switch, and need to know the switching logic, post some pics and we'all can help.
It's likely a 2 pole or 4 pole 6 position switch. While different switches look different, they all do the same thing in larger or lesser form.
Virtually all switches that are used in guitars had a different purpose originally. For instance, the 3 position 2 pole Tele (and original Strat) lever switch started life as a 2P3T, on one way (for a verbal stream to the secretary for """on-line""" dictation, spring return to center the other way (interactive conversation [over]), intercom push to talk/lock to talk switch. The version without the spring was used for the guitar switch, and with the addition of the (filed) "notches" it became the 5 way lever switch of current fame (it's STILL a 2P3T shorting switch in contact arrangement, now mounted on a 5 detent mechanical frame).
