Does anyone know why Eddie Van Halen pulled the plug on his [glow=red,2,300]Peavey Wolfgang [/glow]guitar deal?
I went to a music store, saw what I thought was a w/g Peavey, but was told that its as close as it can be without it being!
Eddie said they could continue to sell the guitar, but theyd have to make a few cosmetic changes as well as a name change.
I tried it out and was impressed!...great guitar. Top quality all around. What happened?...Eddie too fickle?

Mr. VH has a history of switching his endorsements... He's had guitars produced by Charvel (EVH Art Series), Kramer (Pacer varient), Ernie Ball (EVH signature), Peavey (Wolfgang), and now Fender (Frankenstrat replica). I read somewhere that the flap over the Wolfgang is because he (VH) was selling the Charvel/EVH Art series guitars while still contractually obligated to Peavy.

In any case, the OLP MM1 is a good cheap alternative to the wolfgang. (I think the OLP goes for under $200. I own one and it's darned good).
