That's right, star rocker extraordinaire Barbie is very likely to be older than the majority of members here - she turns 50 today, the 9th of March! And of course, what's a claim without proof that she's still got it? Althought this is from the early 80's, and it wasn't the first time she had a guitar in her hands, it's probably the most accurate in terms of both the times and and the guitar itself. Note the decal beneath the bridge. Just thought I'd tweak a few noses this morning - enjoy, laugh, castigate, remimisce, whatever. sumgai p.s. Yes, there is hope in Mudville!

I don't remember Barbie being that anorexic. Is this the "Heroin Chic Barbie"? ;D
And, hello again, Sumgai!

I'm torn between which is more of a cause for concern... The fact that Barbie looks better then I do after 50 years, of that anyone here would know that Barbie is 50 years old today...
You a big Graham Norton fan?
Good to see you here again...either way...
Happy Trails

You a big Graham Norton fan? Occasional. I do admit that he was my initial resource, but I did think of you guys as soon as I glommed onto the article! And don't be torn over this. I understand that she's all pose, and no action. HTH sumgai

Does it not say in the Bible, "Let not one man judge another mans Barbie collection"? Or am I just making excuses? Either way, I prescribe one pork pie, to be taken by mouth, twice a day until symptoms alleviate. That'll sort her out, and if she can play that thing, I'll forgive the overt on-guitar branding, there. They could provide her with a bit of extra burger-therapy, after all. Nice to see you dropping back in again, what- or whoever the inspiration, Sumgai.

I'm sure G.I. Joe might beg to differ...
