Hey, just got a new edition to my guitar family... Its a Michael Kelly Patriot Special Newcastle Edition.. it was an accidental eBay buy LOL ;D I got it in today and was surprised the quality of the guitar. I did have to do some setting up, but that typical of any guitar that I have ever purchased. I like the sound of the soapbar pickups. This is my first guitar using soapbars... Here is a couple of pics that I robbed from the eBay auction and some specs.. CONSTRUCTION: Bolt-On BODY: Mahogany NECK: Mahogany FRETBOARD: Rosewood FRETS: 22 medium jumbo SCALE: 24-3/4” BRIDGE: Wrap around TUNERS: Grover PICKUPS: Michael Kelly P90-Plus ELECTRONICS: 1 tone and 1 volume, 1 three-way toggle Here is my family: Charvel Model 4, Charvel Model 1 (that I added a neck HB), Warmoth Custom, Jackson DKNY 7 string, Fender Super Bullet, My Swirl o Strat, and the Newcastle. btw.. is Newcastle some sort of Beer? Just curious! First brewed in 1927, NewCastle Brown Ale quickly became one of the most popular beers in England. And in 1928 it was awarded the gold medal at the International Brewers Exhibition. Brewed with English pale and caramel malts, and topped off with English hops, it makes for a very drinkable beer.Glad it showed up in one piece. By all means, toss up a few sound samples...before or after you drink the ale... Happy Trails Cynical One

Ok here is a quick sound sample... didn't work up anything, just plugged and played.. Used my Hafler Hellrazor through two 2x12 cabs and the very cheap mp3 player. I got this weird sound on the "Just Got Paid" part I used the rear PU. Must be how the mp3 recorder pickup the sound, didn't sound that way to me live... oh well.. Click It!FireBall

Those sure sounded like P-90's to me. Very nice tone when you played it clean. You got a pretty good deal for what you paid for it. Is the wife speaking to you yet?
