No, but I was getting that, too, yesterday, as was lpf3. Today I haven't noticed it.
Please PM me if you are still getting this. I'll get w/ Proboards staff this evening and see if they know anything.

D2o- I get the same thing, only mine shows a link to cafebeat. I clicked on it but it won't let me in without authentication & it provides me the same log in window ........ I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one. -lpf3 EDIT: Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode where the Aliens had everybody in a neighborhood all suspecting each other of being an Alien. I notice we haven't heard from anybody else........

Interesting...the skinny on cafebeat.org is: DomainID:D81672558-LROR Domain Name:CAFEBEAT.ORG Created On:27-Dec-2001 19:33:58 UTC Last Updated On:29-Dec-2006 17:12:22 UTC Expiration Date:27-Dec-2009 19:33:58 UTC Sponsoring Registrar:Tucows Inc. (R11-LROR) Status:OK Registrant ID:tu07Ui0V6tAMV285 Registrant Name:Armond Blackwater Registrant Organization:Digital Voodoo Dimension Tech City:Neptune Beach Tech State/Province:fl Tech Postal Code:32266 Tech Country:US IP Address: 209.133.235.153 (ARIN & RIPE IP search) IP Location: US(UNITED STATES)-NEW JERSEY-NORTH BRUNSWICK The listed admin, Armond Blackwater, "...is a veteran keyboard player with over 40 years experience. He's played with such names as Yesterday's Children, Steppenwolf, and Otis Day. He is currently working as part of the Neptune's All-Star Show project."This came off the blackwatertribe.com/music/armond/ website. The same domain, blackwatertribe.com, where the Potluck Jam .mp3 and .wav files reside, as well as where the tracks were uploaded via FTP to Ash. cafebeat.org seems to require a logon to access...and there's not a lot of details on Google about them. And cafebeat.com is not the same admin or server host... So, as far as why you get this logon page every time you logon to this forum...that's a good question... Happy Trails Cynical One

Ah, I see.
That is Ash's father, I believe - a bonafide world class organist from what I understand.
I noticed some activity relating to Ash's stomping grounds over the past few days ... and I noticed an absence of Ash's avatar at times today.
It's likely a case of some links getting crossed. I'm sure Ash will get it sorted out in time.

No one has PM'd me to say that this is still occurring today. But a couple of the above messages are worded in the present tense.
Is anyone still seeing this? If not, I'm going to assume whatever the problem was, it's been solved.
I had it a few times last night, but nothing today, and I've logged in under a different IP today as well.

"the Cafe Be At is wherever we be at!"
It's a coffee shop and bar with a world class kitchen that showcases the performances from some of todays best bleeding edge musicians and poets. Any time there's no specific show, the stage is wide open. On top of that, it's a full-featured professional recording environment.
It's usually either my living room or my dad's, but it could be just about anywhere.
cafebeat.org is our home on the web. It's embarassingly poorly developed, considering that we all have and do work providing web based enterprise solutions.
It's where I have been hosting my avatar. It's also the first page that IE goes to when I open it up, and I've been noticing that nag screen for the last couple days. I was just wondering if anybody else was seeing this, and I guess y'all have answered that question.
I don't talk to Armond as much as I'd like. There's most of a continent between us, and our schedules conflict. Oh, and we both hate telephones. I've got no idea why this is happening. I do know that I can still ftp in there, but I'm in the process of downloading everything from the site that means anything to me.
I've removed my avatar for now, which should solve the issue for y'all.
Sorry about all that.
Edit - BTW, this probably means that you'll get the same screen when you open threads in which I've posted pictures (schematics, etc). PM me if you come across one of these and I'll do what I can to fix it.

Short story long.....
Anytime there is a sign-in dialog box like the example, it's a sure bet that there is an HTA file within the directory you're trying to access. HTA basically means "hyper text access", and is a security device. It's configured to either allow only named persons (a whitelist) or to deny certain persons (a blacklist), or some combination thereof. If such a file isn't present, then the page/site is open to all.
The file isn't installed by default by any server OS I know about, but many, if not most, admins install and use one for at least parts of their sites. If one was installed on some sub-directory, and the site used to be open but now requires authorization, then chances are good that the sub-directory's whitelist HTA file was accidentally copied to the main directory. Easy to fix, thankfully.

I should have mentioned, at this point in time, I'm getting the infamous message that says "You are not authorized to view this page". Not even a sign-in dialog box, just in case I might be authorized. Does make one wonder.....

The photo I posted was yesterday afternoon.
Since I posted, it is no longer happening ... so this is definitely a conspiracy.

We're just not sure what you're up to yet. re: your edit above - you wondered if this happens in other posts in which you posted images linked to cafebeat: It does not seem to be a problem - see below, quoting you in this thread. Cheers, D2o Ummm...What missing wires? The pole on the one side of the switch is not connected to anything. It relys on the shorting action of the switch itself to bring the middle pickup into play in the 2 and 4 positions. I truly hope this picture helps. If you can follow it, I think I've got it correct. I'm really posting it, though, because I was stricken by the absurd "Modern Art" quality of that jumble of wires in the middle. Edit - Looking at it in the post I see that the blue wire from the NT could just as easily connect to the BT where the orange wire is... ... no problemo, as far as I can tell ...
