Yep! Just when you thought it was safe………….. “” DNA Section Traditional filters "block" interference. The interfering energy is "held back" but it is still "hanging around". Many types of traditional filters typically have responses that are altered by the source impedance (the circuit the signal or power is coming from), and the load impedance (the circuit to which the signal or power is going). This results in varying filter characteristics, i.e. different effectiveness at reducing unwanted energy, as the filter is applied-to (installed in) various different equipment. The Dissipative Noise Attenuation (DNA) approach, addresses the noise and interference problem by accomplishing the "ultimate solution". The DNA turns the unwanted energy into heat. Once it is heat, as an electrical signal, it is gone, forever. The DNA approach will often reduce unwanted energy that thwarts attempts to remove by traditional approaches. Combining The LPF and The DNA By combining these technologies, noise and interference is sharply attenuated across a wide spectrum of frequencies, with the most desirable modality - turn the interference into heat. Attenuation is excellent. What remains, is pure music. “” Yeah, it’s pure something fer sure! (Thwart, thwart.......) ;D www.nobleelectronics.net/nob6.html(Oh, by the way "Our LFPs typically reduce noise in the 100 Khz range by 100 to 1, and increase in attenuation to 100,000 to 1 in the 10 Mhz region.") I knew it was sumpthin that I couldn't hear anyway, anyway.

But... but.... but I read it on the Innerweb - it MUST be true!
Just goes to prove, you should really have to have licence in order to post anything on the innerweb. ;D

has got nothing to do with the internet, it is just that there is a sucker born every minute.

dunk,
It goes deeper than that.
I was referring more to the fact that this guy honestly believes what he's proferring to be the truth! In that wise, he's as much a sucker as those who'd buy his stuff.
I propose that a "Licence To Post" would require that he be smart enough to have is materials vetted ahead of posting. Not only would avoid ridicule, he'd probably get more repeat business from people who recommended him, because he didn't treat his customers as if they were suckers.
What a concept.... treating people as if they were smarter than a raw carrot. Who knew it could be so rewarding?! ;D

That's odd. Mine doesn't actually talk to me.

Chris, Well, I do have to do some interpretation of what I see there, I admit.

dunk, No, I'm not 100% absolutely sure of what he thinks, but like you, I've seen so many people who are beyond reasoning....... I could live with someone who believes that a work of fiction by Carlos Castenada is the real thing, that's the sign of a very good author. I can't countenance anyone who espouses rubbish as if it were scientific fact, mainly because any close scrutiny will show it for the farce it is. A flight of fancy that is fiction needs no testing, it's intended to be nothing more than a temporary, and hopefully pleasant, escape from reality. In other words, my BS detector was silent while reading C.C., but it went of like fireworks during the first sentence on Noble's website. sumgai

Now... Let me get this straight... This thing will filter out everything coming from my guitar which is not 'pure music' and turn it into heat... So I just sit there in silence and sweat to death???

dunk, To me, it doesn't matter whether I'm a programmer or a de-programmer, the check's the same at the end of the week! IOW, I've done both, with about equal results. sumgai

andy, No, it's your guitar that will go up in smoke! There's no ventilation, thus all generated heat will remain within, and I'm sure you can guess the results from that little faux pas! If you play sitting down, be sure to lay a piece of asbestos across your lap! ;D HTH sumgai

Does Al Gore know about this? Sounds like a source of global warming that should be banned! I think I forsee the licensing of guitar owners on the horizon.

Carl, Oh Hell no!! Think, man, think! This is the most renewable resource of energy you can ever hope to find! If we all played terrible guitar, we'd be able to keep warm at any time, and never again have to pipe in gas or electricty to heat our homes! There's savings in them there sour notes! ;D If only licensed guitarists could generate heat, it'd be a license to print money, so to speak. sumgai

So with this device installed, I can de-tune my guitar and warm the whole house! I wonder if I could play while wearing nomex gloves? Hmmmmm....
