It's that time of year, when I pull out my new and old Xmas books and start plucking. My parents Christmas is at my sis's house this year, and she doesn't have the room for me to bring a guitar (it's that tight). So I pulled out the mandolin and started practicing this week. Man!, you'd think playing my acoustic, electric and Bass, that my fingers wouldn't flinch at playing the mandolin....I last played yesterday morning, and I'm still looking at a doulble flat spot on each of the tips of the fingers of my left hand. Minstrel-ing is hard work! Any Christmas books or arrangements you guys favor?

You don't have a 12-string? That'll fatten them up. Those skinny mando strings WILL do a number on you We've played 'em the last two Sundays but I'm not sure where they found the arrangments. The innerweb is full of them I would imagine. My brother can sing O Holy Night and Mary Did You Know, and has tried to play bass this year, and pretty much bring the house down ;D
