Greetings Guitartded Brethren! As I take a few minutes break from a project, I want to give notice about the Greater Seattle Vintage Guitar Show coming to Seattle WA. on Sunday, April 27th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Everyone is invited to gawk, hawk, or just drool over some of these beasties that will be there. (Please, bring your own bib, ok? ;D) Last years was a blast, and there's no doubt that this years will be any less. (I got a chance to play a '59 burst Paul last year. Still haven't got the stains out of those jeans yet. ;D) I will be there early on, at the Mill's Music booth, high-lighting the Seattle area debut of Reverend Guitars, and of the Lace-Huntington Guitars we'll be selling. (Laces, quite nice budget axes. Reverend's? Haven't seen one yet.) I would love to meet some of you, and will easy to to spot at our booth. (Just look for the old fat guy, with the ponytail, wearing a Guitarded t-shirt.) There will be an admission fee, probably $10.00 or so, but is definately worth it! (Unless a '56 strat, or a '50's Paul isn't your thing. Then you're at the WRONG site! Here is the address, and some driving instructions. Hope to see y'all there!! The FOE Hall (Aerie #1) 6205 Corson Avenue South Seattle, WA 98108-3443, US Driving Directions: Take The Corson Michigan Exit from North or South I-5. The FOE Hall (Aerie #1) is at the end of the off ramp on the right. Parking is available on the South side of the building.

I'll be there, but I refuse to put on any Bells! Look for the dork that argues about everything, no matter what - that'll be me! ;D bentfender, ssstonelover, are you two up for this? Could be some jollies here......... I'll see if I can raise tacobobbo, he's always good for a laugh. Is this the same show that used to be at the Kent Commons every Spring? sumgai

Long story short, it's time to file my report: Pretty small, but crowded. Set up and laid out pretty well, traffic in the aisles wasn't a real killer...... most of the time. Saw mlrpa for a few minutes, had a nice chat considering the time we had, and the crowds jostling us. No one else from the region showed up. ssstonelover told me that he's in LA, and neither tacobobbo nor bentfender responded, hope they're OK. Did see several of my local friends there though. One guy, a bass player ever since I've known him, hauled out a Telecaster neck he's been saving since, oh, I don't know, about 1982 or so!!!! One kilo-buck later, he's smiling from ear to ear, you can be sure of that! Jazzmasters are now hitting eBay at close to, and a bit over, 10 large. Saw one there for a "mere" 5 grand, thought about it for 10 or 15 seconds. Learned later that another friend of mine in a local surf band bought it, on the spot, no hesitation. Maybe I missed something here, do ya think? And that's why I don't carry credit cards, or more cash than I need for a meal. Tends to stress the marriage a little less than what might otherwise be. ;D ;D sumgai
