Next you'll be tellin' me you have an all-original Stihl 061, circa 1980. Yeah, sure, you betcha. Now let's see you take that saw and do this:
And don't be bringin' any of that Jesse James Dupree in here either, he ain't got squat on my man Dave! ;D

Not death metal, but some heavy metal for you:

I've said it before...and I'll say it again...it's the fact we're prolific breeders and we have an opposing thumb...it's the only explanation of our success as a species...

The heavy metal is not in the music but in the instruments.

Sumgai-
You're not old if either breeder can still tell the difference.

I suspect the use of a non-cutting blade on the chainsaw. I'm surprised that this thread hasn't led to the posting of a Plasmatics video with WOW chainsawing a guitar in half (while plugged in!). . .

The heavy metal is not in the music but in the instruments. We need a like button, like facebook. Of course, then we would have to add a dislike button...

stratty, We need a like button, like facebook.
Of course, then we would have to add a dislike button... That would be those Karma buttons, found at the bottom of each poster's "data", over on the left side of each post. While they relate more to the poster than any one post, it's all good. ;D HTH sumgai

I suspect the use of a non-cutting blade on the chainsaw. If one is careful with the space-bar, one can stop the video right at the critical moment and see that they chain "looks" right, but it's not. For a moment I wondered if wasn't simply on backwards, but no, I'm almost certain that the cutters are non-existant..... that the chain is indeed one made for this kind of "fake" imagery. This vid was one of several made by Dave Martin for Dean Guitars' Heavy Metal Shredders contest. YouTube also has a vid of him with a 30lb. war axe, straight out of Frank Frazetta!, coaxing another "heavy metal" lick from his wooden axe. Sorta gives a whole new meaning to "slide" guitar!!

If he happens to mean the reaction one has to watching Mr. Cling Peaches on the right holding his useless pose for exactly 34 seconds before transitioning into an utterly useless burner-basher (admittedly better than a bishop-basher), that could get ugly! I wish we could actually here the guitar in that video. A direct line or a close mic on the cab would have been far more interesting to me. From this, all I can hear is the saw. I'd imagine it's actually not all that interesting a sound, anyway, at least when he's "sawing the strings". The sound of the motor induced into the coils might be useful, though.
Remember this tool?

Of course, for direct recording applications, you'll need the USB Chainsaw:
