For those who are interested, here's my assembled black strat with the DPDT switch installed (thanks to you guys) and a killswitch. More pics at www.axekicker.comedited by D2o to adjust size of picture - you can see the original, full size image by clicking the photo above. Nice guitar, axekicker!

AxeK- Sorry to move this but it belongs here, in the gallery. Also, could you please downsize the pic a bit so it fits without scrolling horizontally?
But a nice project, glad you're happy with it!

I think you guys need bigger screens. But yeah, looks good. I really like the maple on black with white plastic. How does the floating setup work for you with the wanker bar? Pretty stable? Looks like a stock nut... What!? You can't just post a picture and not expect guitar nerds to not have follow-up questions! I love the button, too. Good stuff, man.

Call me simple, but I am seeming to be getting more caught in my rut every day, and I seem to prefer only 2 types of bridges.
1: The type that doesn't move. 2: The type that moves down, and is flush against the body.
Great looking guitar. If it doesn't sell right away, you could look at putting a 3 ply pickguard in just so there's a little more white accent.
I can't believe you're selling this. seems like a shame.

Thanks for the feedback! The bridge is a Wilkinson steel bridge that's currently set up to float up a full step and down 'til the low E flaps. I set up all my "wankers" to do that. I ditched the original bridge which is alloy crap (and a hallmark of MIM and MIC Strats).

I might try the 3-ply guard, but I was trying for Gilmour-ish look which is a little more unusual. One thing I'd like to try is a completely black strat with black knobs and jack, ebony board, and black headstock. I think that would look killer as well. But as for this, I had to sell her as my wife is busting my nuts about the collection. Anyone else in the same boat? I bought an Aerodyne Strat a few months back, which I managed to hide from her, but she found it yesterday and now I got some 'splainin' to do.

I'm with you on the full black pickguard, Axe. The thing looks great as is.
I think the black thing would look a little silly, but that's probably because I'm huge on maple fretboards, which is seriously odd because I also don't own a single fully functional guitar with one... The strat I built has one, but it still needs some serious tweaking to be made ready to go.
Good luck with the sale. Out of curiosity, how much are you asking for it?

Anyway, for those who care, this guitar sold for $200. Some lucky bastard on eBay got it during a no-reserve auction. My loss.
