I was in Walgreen's today with the wife and had time to kill waiting for her script...so I wandered the aisles...guess what I found?
The one and only WowWee Paper Jamz guitar...and assorted accessories... Here's what the Editor and Chief (ubergeek) from PCMag had to say:
...and to prove it takes absolutely no talent or skill whatsoever to use this thing:
...okay, so the kid's got attitude...
Man, what was I thinking...spend countless hours...nay years...to learn an instrument...man, what was going through my tiny little mind...technology makes it all so simple...
Tune in, turn on and clock out...brain in sleep mode...
Happy Trails

Cyn,
Did you get a chance to use any of these contraptions?
Can you actually do anything with the guitar (er ... picture of a guitar?) in terms of wailing, or bending, or finger vibrato? If not, I would imagine it would get really boring really fast, especially for big kids.
Still, it might be kinda neat for kids … in a weird “air guitar 2.0” sort of way.
Cool find! It sounds like that’s a lot of technology for toy level money (I imagine these will end up being used for pretty much anything but the purpose for which they are intended).
Cheers, D2o

I had about 5 minutes with one until the clerk asked me to stop...so much for the freestyle mode... It did have some interesting little tweaks, but, alas, no one wanted to hear Yoko Ono covers at the Portage Walgreen's that day...
I agree that for young children this is an interesting toy. I would still be stuffing a real instrument in their hands once they were capable of holding one...
