And who's too sharp to be tricked? Sumgai, I saw you shave off about a dozen from your post count in the early part of this month, and as you approached 5,000 they're suddenly back on there - no doubt so you could blow past 5,000 undetected. I guess you were hoping to avoid the fanfare and "unnecessary" adulation that goes along with being the very first GN2er to reach the 5,000 post count? Well TOO BAD! We adore you and we're going to show our appreciation for all that you've shared and put up with anyway, whether you like it or not! Each day that I view these boards, I learn more and become ever more aware of how little I know compared to you and many others! Your dedication and immeasurable input is, to understate it, very appreciated.Best regards, D2o (et al)

Congratulations and thanks from 'over the water', SG... ...your experience, generosity and knowledge is only occasionally rivaled by your acid wit.... Well Done!!

I've been on acid again? ................ Was I funny? ~!~!~!~!~ BTW, for the record, I'm sumgai, as in all lowercase letters - just like two common words strung together. Therefore, 'sg' would be the proper way to shorten my handle, whereas 'SG' would be more apropos of calling attention to certain Gibson guitars (or clones thereof). I've let it go 'ere now, and I'll not say anything again, 'cause it's pretty much a common habit around these parts by now. But I thought you all should know, just in case there's a test or sumpin'....... ................. Oh, and be Gawdawful thankful that I've long since forgotten my true Karma count. If I were to restore that value (IOW, if I'd never messed with it in the first place), it'd read so high that I'd need to visit two or three shrinks just to be able get my head through an ordinary door. That is all, carry on! sumgai p.s. Oh, and thanks. The fish were tasty.

Either way, congrats on the 5K+ worth of postings. What's more telling here is what this says about how generous sg is with the storehouse of information he's collected over the years. He has singlehandedly saved countless hours for most of the people on this forum with his postings...and probably a life of two based on his contributions to the Amp section.
He saved my bacon more then a few times.
If we could just get a USB port in there...

............ If we could just get a USB port in there... If'n you did that, you'd experience the Primordial example of GIGO! ~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~ Ya know...... I've mentioned this to a few folks over the past coupla years, but I've never said this in public, before. It so happens that I know that I'm not the only one here with a surfeit of answers. I also know that this isn't my place, it's our place - it's not about me, it's about us. Therefore, for a long time now I've been "sitting back" and letting others jump in to answer newbie's questions. This of course lets others "grab some glory" so to speak - they get to look good, and they get to make The NutzHouse look good. Benefits all around. The better times for me to post are when I'm rendering an opinion, which is too often, or when I feel a correction is necessary. Which thankfully is not too often. The upshot of all that is that the regulars here learn not by reading my answers to others, they learn by actually "getting their hands dirty", so to speak. (Well, to be fair, JohnH is an obvious exception. ) And no, I'm not making "go away" noises, I'm just saying that I've planned for the future, that's all. (OK, OK, I'll admit it - that was BS. It's really the fact that I always get a kick out of watching other people do all the hard work! ;D) Looking forward to the next 5K effort! sumgai

And what a smite that was!
I also would like to post my thanks to sumgai for his never ceasing knowledge enclyclopedia which happens to be located in his head...how did you get that in there anyway? I am glad to hear you are not going anywhere. And congratulations for your hyperactivity and exceptional assistance in this forum...and being patient with us noobs, who sometimes don't ever let go of that title.
