i asked you guys for suggestions months ago and i'm finally almost done (aka it sat on my bench until all the parts came) first the obligatory gutshot: here's the body (was too many beers in to operate a drill properly by the time i finished the wiring, so the neck will be put on tonight): will post more pictures once it's all together as well as sound clips thanks for everybody's help!

if you don't go for all the trimmings (callaham bridge, handmade neck from somebody on another forum), you could probably get it done on a budget i spent like 40$ on the body on ebay (you can still see part of the asian symbol in the neck pocket)

But the callaham bridge is amazing. I know I'm waiting for a cheap tele body to pop up on craigslist. Callaham bridge, a decent replacement neck, you can make almost anything play well.
Also, what type of puppies?

So how did the work come out?
Since I missed the thread you asked about this guitar in the works, please share your wood choices! I see a P/P pot there-what else did you wire up into that tele?

i think the body's alder. got it for cheap on ebay. there is an asian symbol in the neck pocket, so i was probably made super cheap. the neck is one piece birdseye maple with an ebony board, handmade for me by somebody on the marshall forum (http://www.lydian.ca/Home.html) callaham bridge, sd 5-2 in the bridge, benson handwound in the neck i did the neck/neck bridge series/neck bridge parallel/bridge/bridge straight to jack (although the parallel is just bridge right now because i think i fried the switch push pull pot for tone cap: .022uf with it down, .1uf with it pulled up
will put it through the paces when we play a show saturday.... but i'm in love with it my girlfriend's super jealous

How did the intonation work out with the compensated saddles? I have a Jerry Donahue tele arriving on tuesday and I am considering the the intonation options.

it's close enough for punk rock! nah but the intonation is good, callaham makes a quality bridge
