Hi guitar nuts! I was just invited to join this forum by one of your members. I build and sell cool submini tube amps and custom effects pedals. I've got loads of nice project design threads over at DIYSB and FSB. I'll be showcasing my work elsewhere on the forum but just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Please feel free to browse my website: www.frequencycentral.co.uk/Rick

Hi, Welcome to the NutzHouse! Nice to see somone new here, and a pedal guy too! A lot of our material focuses on guitar wiring, however we do have a dark basement for late night pedal building The chances are one of our more experienced guys (bets on newey) will give you a proper welcome, But I thought I would say Hi Yew

Hi Rick I'm the one that invited him, so if he drinks all the beer and bogarts our smokables...oops! His pedals are really cool looking, and you gotta hear the tiny little amps.

...... you gotta hear the tiny little amps.Post sound samples, or they aren't real! ;D ~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~ Seriously, Rick (frequency central), Hi, and to the NutzHouse! All I can say at this point is that if you want to offer things for sale (kits, parts, diagrams, etc.), then we have a forum named Hock Shop just for you. Anything else, post where you see/feel the need. Refering to your site for clarity (as in, you're trying to explain something, and there's a perfectly good picture on your site) is also OK, just so long as viewers don't get the impression that you're trying to drive traffic, so to speak. Sounds like others here are already vouching for you, so I don't see any need to yammer on and on.... Oh, arf a mo....... Beware the Kyle Is In My Head. Smite him roundly, if you should happen to see him!! sumgai

Would it be possible to make it so that whenever somone sees the page, it automatically smites kyle? No, I don't think so...... But I do believe that I can fix it so that every time KIIMH logs in, his Smite rating goes up by an order of magnitude. Would that be good enough, yew?

Thanks for that, jfrank. Now I have to stop posting my pedals! Welcome aboard freq! I've admired your contributions over at DIYSB and expect you'll fit in nicely around here.

Rick - thats fantastic work, nicely photographed and presented too. The only amp Ive previously known of that seems on the face of it to be at all similar to your family is Zvex's Nano amp. Do you take a similar approach to the circuitry?

I guess, and not that I ordinarily endorse this sort of thing, but I guess if you are logged in and click the colored text in my signature line ... well I'm not sayin' what will happen.

Rick - thats fantastic work, nicely photographed and presented too. The only amp Ive previously known of that seems on the face of it to be at all similar to your family is Zvex's Nano amp. Do you take a similar approach to the circuitry? John I first saw those nano amps a few years ago, thought to myself 'gotta buy one of these', saw the price and thought 'gotta build one of these'. No schematics were available of course, so I looked at adapting some pre-existing full sized tube amp designs. I did a lot of research too on voltage multipliers which are used in nixie tube clocks. So yeah, what I ended up with is similar in concept - tiny tubes and voltage multiplication - but I think I do it better (of course!), my amps don't whine, and are set up more like traditional tube amps in terms of preamp/tonestack/power amp. I've had some customers who have bought both, mine and Zvex, mine come out favourably.
