A cow, an ant, and a certain old fart were discussing who was the greatest being. The cow said "I give 20 quarts of milk a day, that's why I'm the greatest." The ant said "I work all day, every day, summer and winter. I can carry more than 50 times my weight, and that's why I'm the greatest." ..... .... ..... ..... .... ..... Why are you scrolling down here - it's your turn to say something!

Well, to tell the truth, I couldn't figure out anything clever to say over there, so I recycled an old joke instead. We still friends? ;D ~!~!~!~!~!~!~ The rest of the NutzHouse, particularly you newbies, should know that I've got only about a decade on cynical1, but I don't let that stop me from rubbing it in every chance I get. c1 takes it all in good grace, perhaps hoping that someday I'll grow up, as well as old. Then I might actually act my age instead of my IQ. Hah! Just keep wishing there, pal! And for the record, just to shake things up a bit..... I've been keeping track for quite some time now, and I can honestly say that this year alone, our new-guy registrations are coming in at the rate of more than 5 to 3, AARP members versus those yet to graduate from Romper Room. One fella recently came in that has a decade on me!! (Remember, I'm on Social inSecurity, so you do the math.....) But for the most part, the Baby Boomers are about to ascend into the majority, so all you whippersnappers better start thinking about that old saying, the one about paying attention to your elders. And being respectful, don't forget that one either. KIIMH is the only authorized exception, 'cause he's "special". Hmm, I wonder.... have I taken my meds yet today?

Of course we're still friends. And I don't feel so bad about getting older...it leaves less room to make the same mistakes again...
And like I tell my wife...no matter how old I get, I take heart in the fact you're still older then me...
Happy Trails

The trouble with "leaving less room to make the same mistakes again" is that the memory banks keep emptying out, leaving just as much room as ever to recycle those WTFWIT moments....

..... i'm still young enough to be arrogant and learn the hard way! This would explain why you never bothered to look up the etymology of your name. Goat singer, indeed.

Actually, the wife is always there to remind me...lest I forget a previous misstep or transgression... And if not, there's usually a scar somewhere that helps to remind me... HTC1

My "scar" has a name, and a marriage certificate to prove it! Fortunately for me, The Real Boss is pretty forgiving.
