I admit it, I love to see marketing whores step in their own scatology. Seems Pandora has run afoul of the State of Michigan for partnering with Facebook and releasing previously promised private information about users to the free world. On the surface, if you have a Facebook account, then you deserve whatever you get, but this one is a bit different then it appears at first blush. According to The Register, it seems "Michigan's Video Rental Privacy Act has been cited in a new class action lawsuit against Pandora, claiming $5,000 damages per person. The lawsuit says that by making playlists and histories public and searchable by Google, privacy was violated."You can read the story on The Register. If you're interested, you can also read the copy of the litigation here. I stopped listening to Pandora when they started charging for any time used over 40 hours in a month. SoundCloud and SoundClick suit me much better anyway. Thought this was interesting, so I passed it along. Happy Trails Cynical One

When it comes to doing the right thing by their users, Mark Z. makes Bill G. look like the original choir boy!
'Nuff said.

I find Mark Z. to be indicative of the whole "eat your young" mentality that pervades nearly everything these days when it comes to turning a buck. I found the alternative, HateBook to be much more entertaining and less intrusive. The whole social media thing never clicked with...in order for them to work you need to have friends... I'll keep my social media'ing to this place. Better class of people and no one pings you on the way to get a latte... Happy Trails Cynical One
