Brand-new, only tested free air with a 55w stereo. They sound great for the price. I just bought 2 of the die-cast ribbed cone woofers, so I need to sell these. I thought I'd offer them here before I send them back: www.mcmelectronics.com/product/MCM-AUDIO-SELECT-55-2953-/55-2953$30 each (prefer to sell both) + shipping to USA. The label said 33 lbs for both. I think it was $15 from OH to AZ. (In case anyone is wondering, I'm building a Dual Showman type cabinet. ;D )

Still have them. Cost more to ship them back. Maybe in the future I will use these for a bass bin or BIG speakers, but until then they are for sale.

Yeah, they refunded some of my money when they had them knocked down to 2 fer $40. I'm, well I was, putting the finishing touches on a cabinet for 2 12" made out of scrap wood I had. I'll get some of that "disposable income" Friday and get a replacement spiral bit for my router, that now costs more than 1 of these woofers...
$20 each plus shipping. ;D

Well smack me and call me Charlie - I sold them and 2 PA cabinets to a guy who runs a party rental place, and the guy wants to me to build him some rental equipment and maybe even some showroom stuff to sell. He hasn't even seen me wrap vinyl or carpet yet. ;D BTW - the woofers sound great free air with a 600w mixer, even playing that techno/house/dubstep/noise crap.
