OK, so what's the big deal? Gregorian chant has been around since like the 9th century or thereabouts... nearly as long as me! But the other night, I tripped across a group named Gregorian for the first time. Declaring that the art of chant has been updated is something of an understatement.... allow me to demonstrate: First up, an original. Very dramatic, it was done in an ancient castle in Germany: Chris Isaak gets made over: And who'd ever guess that AC/DC could provide fodder for these guys: (Note: that solo is not a guitar - it really is that chick strutting on the violin. But wait - get a load of that 'rhythm section' behind her!!!) Even Pink Floyd can be turned in to a Gregorian chant: And finally, the obligatory Rock Anthem of all time: If you need more, Google is your friend, but for the record, their website is: www.gregorianmastersofchant.com/welcome.htmI dunno about you, but all I can say is, when I grow up, I wanna be a musician for this group! sumgai
