And yes, for you old timers, I know this is originally by The Shocking Blue. This performance was for a one-time Nirvana tribute, by a group of about 12 rotating musicians. I did 4 songs, other ppl did 3 or 4 each, etc. It was a ton of fun, meeting a bunch of new ppl, Saturday afternoon BBQ/rehearsals, etc. My gf is singing backups with me, on this.
We have another tribute night, coming up: this time, The Cure. I'm sure I'll post one in a few weeks.

When did you shave your head JFP?...nice job That's how he can fit his Monster Mullet on his head! Ask him to share the sordid story about the Mullet Mafia......

Rock! Did you only play the one song? I saw that there were others on your playlist, but they looked like different people, and I don't really need to hear "Teen Spirit" again anytime soon.
We just got through the Ides of March Bacchanalia Festival which was two weekends worth of bands performing 45 minute cover/tribute sets. A pretty awesome rendition of Rage with a chick on vocals. There were jubblies! There was a pretty good CCR, and last Saturday somebody played all of In Utero, though I missed that one. I played last year as Big Black and was talking with a friend who did a killer Talking Heads set this year about maybe doing Pablo Honey next year.
Anywho, definitely let us know how that Cure thing goes!

I also did In Bloom, Molly's Lips, Been A Son. There were 4 singers, that night. Sounds like a rad festival with all the tributes! My gf is the singer of a Rush tribute band and theyre playing, next month with an all female Soundgarden tribute. For The Cure, I'm playing and singing: Three Imaginary Boys, Killing an Arab, Jumping Someone Else's Train. And playing guitar on a bunch more.

I also did In Bloom, Molly's Lips, Been A Son. Well, half of them were actually Nirvana songs!

More enjoyable than watching Kurt play it (always felt like Kurt would smell like a homeless person, he sure looked like one).
